Turner Cottage Restaurant (formerly New Stables Tearooms) was built in 1981 and was designed to represent the stables of the horses that stopped at the property while on the Cobb & Co. Mail coach run from Perth to Bunbury in the late 1800's.

Guests to the restaurant can enjoy a full range of brewed teas and espresso coffee, great value lunches, weekend breakfasts, and an impressive dinner menu complimented by our very popular pizzas (dine-in or takeaway). With a great selection of meals, there is something delicious for all appetites.

Visitors may dine inside our airconditioned restaurant, on the sheltered verandah overlooking the Serpentine River and old bridge, or on in the shade of the trees by the river on our picnic grounds.

The beautiful surrounds offer a nostalgic glimpse into the past where you may imagine the Turner family farming the land, managing the flooded riverbanks and tending to their animals and orchards. Their home, Turner Cottage, was built in 1856 and has been carefully restored. The cottage, restaurant and surrounding property is still proudly owned and operated by descendants of the Turner family. Guided tours of the cottage are conducted by our lovely guide Deb, and are available any time by booking through the restaurant.

Only 45-50 minutes from the city, come out and visit an important piece of local history, enjoy the beautiful setting, friendly country hospitality and scrumptious food.
